Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the MixEar app. By downloading or using MixEar you agree to them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two conflict, Apple's EULA controls for matters it covers.
What MixEar is
MixEar is an ear-training app for music producers and audio engineers. It is a practice tool, not a certification or a measurement instrument. Scores, ranks, and streaks are for your own motivation and carry no other meaning.
Free tier and MixEar Pro
The free tier includes the EQ Band drill without limit and one full session per day in other drills. MixEar Pro unlocks every drill and level, importing your own tracks, full history, and streak freezes.
- Monthly and Yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Lifetime is a one-time purchase that unlocks Pro on this Apple ID for as long as the app is available.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy.
- Pro is tied to your Apple ID. Use Restore purchases on a new device.
Your content
Audio files you import stay on your device and remain yours. You are responsible for having the right to use any audio you import. MixEar never uploads it.
Acceptable use
Don't reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its synthesized training material as a product of your own. Don't use the app in a way that violates Apple's App Store terms.
No warranty
MixEar is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it accurate and working, but we don't guarantee any particular training outcome, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app, to the extent permitted by law. Please protect your hearing: keep listening levels moderate, especially with headphones.
Changes and termination
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. You may stop using the app at any time; subscriptions must be cancelled through Apple.
