Privacy Policy
The short version: MixEar does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no servers of ours. Everything the app does happens on your device.
What the app processes on your device
MixEar synthesizes its built-in training loops locally. If you choose to import your own audio file (a Pro feature), the app reads an excerpt of that file into memory to play it during training. The file is never uploaded anywhere, and the excerpt is discarded when you remove it from the Sound Source list or quit the app.
Your training history — answers, scores, streaks, levels, and settings — is stored in a local database on your device. It is included in your normal iCloud or iTunes device backup if you have that enabled, and nowhere else.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details and no personally identifiable information from Apple about you. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your Apple ID settings.
Notifications
If you enable the daily reminder or streak nudge, MixEar schedules local notifications on your device. No notification service of ours is involved and nothing leaves the device.
Data we do not collect
- No name, email, or account of any kind
- No usage analytics, crash reporting, or device identifiers
- No audio recordings — the app never uses the microphone
- No location data
- No third-party SDKs of any kind
Children
MixEar is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future version adds optional cloud sync — we will update this page and the effective date, and the app will ask for your consent before any data leaves your device.
